Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC)
WMC is a business association dedicated to making Wisconsin the most competitive state in the nation. Currently, the association has nearly 4,000 members that include both large and small manufacturers, service companies, local chambers of commerce and specialized trade associations. Promoting a healthy business climate since 1911, it is a merger of the Wisconsin Manufacturers Association, the State Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin Council of Safety.
Wisconsin Department of Commerce
The WI Department of Commerce provides development assistance in areas such as marketing, business and community finance, exporting, small business advocacy, and manufacturing assessments. The department also issues professional credentials for the construction trades and administers safety and building codes.
Minnesota Department of Commerce
The MN Department of Commerce ensures equitable commercial and financial transactions and reliable utility services by: regulating and licensing business activity in more than 20 industries; investigating and resolving consumer complaints; advocating the public's interest before the Public Utilities Commission; and administering various state programs.
Iowa Department of Commerce
The IA Department of Commerce is committed to fostering an environment conducive to sound economic development in Iowa; maintaining public confidence in the integrity of the regulated industries and professions; and establishing policies which protect the public interest while balancing the interests of the consumers, industries and professions.
Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI)
ABI represents a diverse group of businesses, including manufacturers, processors, retailers, insurance companies, financial institutions, publishers and printers, transportation services and the professions. Large or small, urban or rural, each member business adds its own particular resources and expertise to the growing strength of the Iowa business community; and, in turn, each receives the many benefits ABI membership provides.
National Association of Manufacturers (NAM)
The NAM’s mission is to advocate on behalf of its members to enhance the competitiveness of manufacturers by shaping a legislative and regulatory environment conducive to U.S. economic growth and to increase understanding among policymakers, the media and the general public about the vital role of manufacturing in America’s economic and national security for today and in the future. |
